The success of a school depends largely on the quality of its curriculum. Our curriculum is the pivot on which the activities and academic programme of our Primary school revolves. In line with our mission of nurturing global citizens, Saint John Paul II (Montessori) Primary School offers a curriculum that is rich in content, broad in its scope and international in structure. It is a matchless combination of the Nigerian and International curricula with a Montessori based approach to learning which has been carefully adopted in driving this unique curriculum.

It encourages and guides pupils to explore their world, take ownership of their learning and have a desire for ever increasing knowledge. The curriculum is carefully designed to develop life skills that will guarantee success in every aspect of endeavour.

The Primary Curriculum also aims at preparing children to excel in entrance examinations into secondary schools (both public and private) as well as gain admissions into schools of choice globally.

The Academic Program

Pope John Paul II Montessori Primary School runs a six year continuous academic programme for children between the ages of 5 and 11. We are fully aware of the strenuous curricular and co-curricular activities that our children will encounter as they pass out of school. Thus, we work towards ensuring their physical, mental and emotional preparedness for life in post primary schools.
